As a consumer, you have the freedom to choose when to switch energy suppliers. However, you must take into account the three-week notice period. Your new supplier is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition and for terminating the contract with your previous supplier, so you do not need to take any steps yourself in that respect. Before changing supplier, it is wise to compare prices. You can use the following simulators for this purpose:
