Package Holiday: The Tour Operator Declares Bankruptcy
Tour operators and resellers (e.g., travel agents) offering package holidays are required to have insurance that protects you in the event of their bankruptcy.
In case of bankruptcy of the tour operator or reseller, the insurance company will step in to provide a refund or an alternative arrangement.
Consult the website of your reseller or tour operator's insolvency insurer. You can find the details in your travel agreement and in the travel confirmation. Use the online declaration form or send it by mail to request intervention.
